Some important news to remember!…

The Sky+ box is no longer available. Sky+ (or Sky Plus) is an exclusive service now only available on the Sky+ HD box.

So what is the comparative offers and subscription options for the new Sky+ HD box?

You can still use the Sky+ HD box just as if it were the old Sky+ box. Monthly subscriptions still start from only £20.00 a month and you can still take the free broadband and calls option.

What is the main difference with the Sky+ HD box compared to the old Sky+ box?

With the Sky+ HD box you can receive High Definition TV offering five times the picture detail compared to Standard Definition TV. The new Sky+ HD box also offers more storage then the old Sky+ box for recording  programs. You can also record two programs at once.

And the cost?

To view over 50 HD channels currently available on Sky,you simply pay an extra £10.25 a month for the ‘HD Pack’. If you would rather wait until you have a HD Ready Television, you can upgrade to the ‘HD Pack’ at a later date, just use the Sky+ service until then.

What is Sky Talk?

Sky Talk can be split into three main options and when taken you get  £5 off Sky Broadband packages:

Sky Talk Freetime:
Free off-peak land line calls to anywhere in the UK (not including the channel islands)
Cost = Free

Sky Talk Unlimited:
Unlimited UK landline calls at anytime
Unlimited calls to 20 international destinations and
unlimited calls to mobiles in USA & Canada
Call rates to UK mobiles, 20% cheaper than Freetime
Cost = £5.00 a month

Sky Talk Line Rental:
Available to those with a Sky Talk package and a BT compatible line. New Sky customers who don’t currently have a BT compatible line may be able to get one installed through Sky.
Set-up cost = Free to switch from a BT line. Or £39 if you’re switching from a cable line or need to have a land line installed.
Cost = £12.25 a month
